AI chatbot development

AI chatbot development services for your website, Slack and Teams

AI chatbot development services build a chat assistant that answers questions in plain language from your company's own documents and data, on your website, WhatsApp or internal tools. Safock builds them for support teams and internal help desks that answer the same questions every day. Each bot cites the source of its answers, stays inside the topics you approve, and hands the conversation to a person when it should.

/ The problem

What this fixes

  • 01

    Generic bots that guess

A widget trained on your homepage answers confidently and wrongly once a question goes past it. One wrong answer about a price or a policy becomes a complaint your team has to clean up.

  • 02

Knowledge buried in PDFs and shared drives

Your policies, manuals, product sheets and SOPs exist, but staff and customers can't find the right paragraph at the moment they need it.

  • 03

Support teams stuck on repeat questions

The same questions arrive every day by chat, email and phone, and each one pulls a person away from the cases that need their judgement.

  • 04

No view of what people ask

Without analytics you can't see which questions go unanswered, which documents are missing, or where people give up and call instead.

/ What we build

AI chatbot development, built for your systems

  • 01

    Website support chatbot

Answers product, policy and order questions on your site, collects contact details from interested visitors, and passes complex cases to your team.

  • 02

    Internal knowledge assistant

A bot in Slack or Microsoft Teams that answers staff questions from HR policies, SOPs and technical manuals, with links to the source page.

  • 03

    WhatsApp chatbot

The same knowledge on the WhatsApp Business Platform, with booking, order lookups and hand-off to staff. Our WhatsApp AI agent page covers this in detail.

  • 04

    Document Q&A with citations

Ask questions across manuals, contracts, catalogs or reports and get answers that point to the exact document and section.

  • 05

    Multilingual chatbots

Assistants that reply in English, Arabic or Urdu, depending on how the user writes, tested on real questions in each language.

  • 06

    Chatbot analytics

A dashboard of what people ask, which questions went unanswered, where the bot handed off and how users rated its answers.

/ How it works

The detail behind it

Custom AI chatbot or off-the-shelf tool?

Off-the-shelf chatbot builders are a sensible start when your questions are simple, your content fits on a website, and the vendor's hosting and pricing suit you. Set one up, watch what customers ask, and you will learn a lot in a few weeks.

A custom AI chatbot makes sense when answers depend on private documents or live data, when you need control over where conversations are stored, when the bot has to look things up in your systems or work in several languages, or when per-seat and per-conversation fees grow faster than the value they bring. With a custom build you own the code, choose the model and can move the hosting whenever you need to.

Answers grounded in your documents, with citations

Under the conversation sits a retrieval system, usually called RAG (retrieval-augmented generation). It finds the passages in your documents most likely to answer the question and gives only those to the language model, with instructions to answer from them and to say so when they don't cover it. Our RAG development page explains the pipeline in detail.

Each answer links to the document, page or record it came from, so a reader can check it in one click. In Mavick, our AI operating system for textile factories, every answer also carries a confidence badge and a trace of the tools the agent used. Readers can see how sure the system is before they act on an answer.

Retrieval quality sets the ceiling on answer quality. Much of the work goes into cleaning documents, handling tables and scanned PDFs, and keeping the index current when a policy changes.

Guardrails, channels and analytics

Guardrails keep the chatbot on task. We limit it to the topics you approve, stop it from quoting prices or making commitments it can't confirm from your data, remove personal data from logs where required, and route complaints, legal questions and low-confidence answers to a person.

One assistant can serve several channels. A website widget, a WhatsApp number and an internal Slack or Microsoft Teams bot can share a single knowledge base with different permissions, so staff see internal documents and customers see public ones.

Analytics show what people ask, which questions went unanswered, where the bot handed off and how users rated the answers. Those reports tell your team which documents to write or fix next.

What AI chatbot development services cost, and why

Four things move the price most: the volume and condition of your documents, the number of channels, integrations with live systems such as your CRM or order database, and the languages you need. A bot that answers from a clean set of policies on one website is a small project. One that reads scanned manuals, checks order status and runs in three languages across three channels is a larger one.

Running costs come from model usage, hosting and, on WhatsApp, Meta's message fees. The timeline follows the scope. You see a working chatbot on your own documents in the first sprint, and after discovery we commit to milestones and a fixed price in the proposal.

/ How we work

From first call to a system your team runs

  1. 01

    Discovery

We start with your workflows, goals, and constraints, so we solve the problem you actually have.

  2. 02

    Proposal & architecture

A clear scope, timeline, milestones, and system design, with honest pricing before any build starts.

  3. 03

    Agile delivery

Short sprints with regular demos, so you see working software early and can steer as it takes shape.

  4. 04

    Launch

Deployment, optimization, and security hardening are included. Nothing ships unless it is safe and secure.

  5. 05

    Support & growth

30 days to 3+ months of support after launch, with long-term maintenance available as you grow.

  6. 06

    Your team, enabled

Documentation and training so your people can operate and extend the system on their own.

/ FAQ

Questions buyers ask us

How is a custom AI chatbot different from using ChatGPT?

ChatGPT answers from its general training and whatever you paste into it. A custom chatbot answers from your documents and systems, follows your rules about what it may say, shows the source of each answer, and runs on your website, WhatsApp or internal tools under your brand. You also decide where conversation data is stored.

Can the chatbot answer from PDFs, Word files and our website?

Yes. We index PDFs, Word and Excel files, web pages, help-centre articles and database records. Scanned documents need text recognition first, and tables often need special handling so numbers stay attached to their labels. During discovery we review a sample of your documents and tell you which ones need cleanup before indexing.

How do you stop the chatbot from giving wrong answers?

It answers only from retrieved passages, cites them, and is instructed to say when it doesn't have the answer. We test it against a set of real questions before launch, review unanswered and low-rated questions after launch, and add hand-off rules for sensitive topics such as pricing exceptions and complaints.

How much does AI chatbot development cost?

It depends on how many documents you have and what state they are in, how many channels you need, which systems the bot must read from, and how many languages it must handle. Running costs cover model usage and hosting, plus Meta's fees on WhatsApp. You receive a fixed build price in the proposal after discovery.

Can one chatbot serve both customers and staff?

Yes, with separate permissions. Customers get answers from public content, while staff on Slack or Microsoft Teams can also query internal policies and procedures. Both channels share one knowledge base and one process for updating it, so a corrected document fixes the answer everywhere at once.

Who keeps the knowledge base up to date?

Your team, with our help at the start. We set up a simple process for adding, replacing and removing documents, and the index refreshes when they change. Analytics show which questions went unanswered so you know what to write next. Support runs from 30 days to more than three months after launch, and ongoing maintenance is available.
